Design your own socks or try filet crochet in this month’s member-led activities.

There’s a last minute change to this month’s programme, but don’t worry we are rescheduling the wet felting workshop with felt artist Marjorie Brown, as there has been so much interest in it. Instead, two of our members will be demonstrating their technical and design skills showcasing sock design and filet crochet.

Experienced sock knitter Heather, will be explaining the different components and knitting methods of socks and helping you design your own with a great fit. Bring a tape measure and some squared paper with you.

Guild member Sheila will be showing us how to work filet crochet, which forms a grid of filled and open squares. She designs her own motifs and will explain this process too. Bring some yarn and appropriate sized hook if you’d like to have a go.
