Dyeing workshop – October 2022 meeting

Debbie Tomkies from DT Craft & Design will be running a dyeing workshop using natural dye extracts at our October meeting.

Cost is £40 for members of the Bucks Guild of WSD, £60 for non members, booking required in advance.

Please note that you will need to mordant your protein-based yarn/fibre/fabric in advance of the event, but don’t let this put you off as several members have offered help with this. There will also be an opportunity to get it done during September’s meeting.

There are 12 places available on the workshop – first come, first served. Please email secretary@buckswsd.org.uk to reserve your place, then you will receive an email shortly with payment information. There are very few spaces left now, so email asap if you are interested.

We hope to get Debbie back again in the future to do another workshop using synthetic dyes, so all is not lost if you don’t get a place on this one !

There’ll also be plenty of space for social crafting if you’d rather not join the workshop. Bring along your latest project to show off or to ask advice.

Regular Features:

• Bring and Brag table – bring something you have recently finished or are still working on to share your progress.
• Sales Table – You are invited to bring craft related items for sale. Please, no jumble. 20% of sales goes to the Guild.
• Raffle – we generally have 3 craft related prizes.

FACILITIES:    Free Parking.  The one way entrance to the parking is from Banks Road (for those of you with satnav, check as it could send you down Crossways!).   WiFi. Disabled access.  Teas/Coffees,  Cakes and Biscuits.

GUILD MEMBERS :    £40 for workshop. Social crafting free – meetings attendance is included in annual membership fee.

VISITOR COST:       £60 for workshop, otherwise £5.00 per visitor, per meeting
