Endings and Beginnings – September 2022 meeting
18 September 2022 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Project preparation and WIP (work in progress) wrangling. Do you have an idea for a new project but need some practical help to get started? What can you do with all that spun yarn/ dyed fibre / woven fabric you’ve produced? Perhaps you need some encouragement to finish a project! September is the month to finish off those languishing projects or start a new one.
We will have the guild drum carder available to turn your fibre into batts. There will be a knitting machine for you to whip up sock blanks with your yarn all ready for you to dye at home. If there’s interest there’ll be a sewing machine available to put your handwoven fabric to good use. Plus we will be mordanting in preparation for October’s dyeing workshop. Or just bring along your latest project to work on or show off.
