LUNCH:
-
- Please bring a dish to share – if you would like to coordinate with others feel free to pop a post on WhatsApp / email a committee member to let everyone know what you’re bringing. If not, just bring it along on the day, we’ve never ended up with 20 plates of sausage rolls yet !
- Please include a label with an ingredients list for allergy reasons.
- Please either cut things up in advance, or bring a knife with you – there aren’t many at the hall.
ACTIVITIES:
- Pass the parcel – this is fast becoming a guild tradition. It’s amazing how popular it is with adults!
- Craft share – we have a couple of volunteers running seasonal crafts activities – Danish folded stars, woven paper hearts and sustainable wreaths from foraged materials. Please bring some change as there may be a small materials cost for some activities.
SWAP INSTRUCTIONS:
- 100g of fibre. It must be spinnable in its current state (not needing further prep) and must be dyed. Something nice that you’d like to receive as a gift.
- Split the fibre into 8 equal pieces of approx 12.5g. The easiest way to do this is to split it in half (2x50g), then split each of those in half (4x25g) and then split each of those in half once again (8×12.5g). Please pull the pieces apart, don’t use scissors !
- Wrap each piece individually / place in a paper bag with a note stating the fibre content, and the name of the blend and supplier if applicable.
- Bring your 8 parcels to the meeting in a bag or box.
- Jen will then perform some complicated rearranging of packages, and give you back your box / bag containing 8 different parcels for you to open.
- Bring any resulting makes back in January to show off!
