Guild visit to Snowshill Manor – August 2022

10 August 2022 @ 11:30 am - 4:30 pm

Join us on our summer outing to the unique National Trust property of Snowshill Manor in the Cotswolds. This was the home of eccentric collector Charles Wade.

Entry to the manor is by pre-booked, timed ticket. So let a committee member know if you’d like to be added to the list. Guild members and guests are welcome.

Directions to Snowshill Manor
Snowshill is 21⁄2 miles SW of Broadway. Turn from the A44 Broadway by-pass into Broadway village, following the brown tourist signs. Snowshill Manor is signposted from the village green. The car-park and Visitor Centre are near the top of the hill on the right.

Accessibility
The entrance and exit to the manor are accessed only by steps. The ground floor is accessible in a wheelchair, but there are steps into some rooms. The garden is a hillside terraced space with limited wheelchair access. The cafe, shop and main toilet facilities are fully accessible to wheelchair users. A Braille guide and virtual tour are available, plus two manual wheelchairs for visitors.

Paths
Please be aware that in wet weather, exposed stone paths and steps can become very slippery. In the garden please respect any closed areas. Please wear sensible footwear.

Pushchairs, large bags and rucksacks
For the protection of the collection and your personal safety, we ask that large bags, rucksacks, baby backpacks and pushchairs are not taken into the manor. Baby slings or hip seats are acceptable.

Food and drink
They have a self-service café, providing morning coffee, light lunches, sandwiches, afternoon tea and cakes. Hot food is served between 12-2pm.
