Dianne Miles from Weavers Bazaar – tapestry weaving

Dianne gave us an overview of the history of tapestry weaving, an introduction to the work of contemporary tapestry artists and an insight into a personal approach to tapestry weaving.The talk was enhanced with both illustrations of tapestry woven by notable tapestry weavers and actual tapestries woven by the speaker. We also had an opportunity to try tapestry weaving using pre-warped tapestry frames and freely weaving with colour blends
